Yoga Pilates Remix
Strength & Alignment
This class infuses awareness of breath and movement patterns into traditional yoga and pilates exercises. Work deeper and smarter to improve your movement and health. Lots of fun props and adaptive equipment are used with a focus on helping students learn what is best for their bodies.
Yoga for Everyone
This carefully sequenced class builds strong and flexible muscle while cueing safe alignment. It’s the perfect class for the athletic student, yogi, or beginner. Learn to work deeper into the body building awareness in the postures and develop smoother transitions between poses. Emphasis is on building overall strength, increasing flexibility where needed, and core integration. Class may include gentle backbends, and arm balances and wall assisted inversion preparations. Modifications and options are given to make the class accessible to most active beginners.
Yoga and Meditation
In Yoga for Everyone, we make sure that participants -- regardless of ability -- can learn a practice that helps bring them to better health and fitness. This class is accessible to a wide variety of students of all fitness levels and ages. Specific modifications will be given using yoga blocks, straps, blankets, and chairs so that everyone can participate and experience the poses. This class is a great starting point for those students who need to start slowly for a variety of reasons. We know how to modify poses for tight muscles, for weak muscles and core, for hip, knee, wrist, and shoulder issues, for aching joints from arthritis or age, and for hip and knee replacements. In this class we take our time to carefully transition between postures and to cue proper alignment.
Mat Pilates for Everyone
Accessible for most beginners, this is a well-sequenced, complete practice including asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation. Flow carefully through the standing poses while warming up the whole body and working off tension and stress. Learn to work deeper and awaken the inner body, encouraging your movements to become more smooth and efficient. Work on backbends, hip openers, forward bends, and inversions in a safe environment with an experienced teacher. Get stronger, gain flexibility, and reduce body aches while beginning to develop your own practice.
The combination of yoga and pilates brings deeper awareness along with increased strength and abilities. Enjoy this classical mat Pilates class that is accessible to most students. Learn all the basic pilates exercises, increasing your all-around strength while learning to connect with your core. Modifications will be given using adaptive equipment such as pilates balls, the magic circle, foam rollers, and yoga blocks.
Get stronger while increasing your understanding of our own body and movement.
No matter what age or size you are, yoga can help encourage and maintain a healthy body and mind! We know and understand this and try to adapt our cueing to all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. This class will include cues and modifications for all body types and ages. Although very similar to the Yoga for Everyone class (see description above), it moves at a slower pace allowing students more time for transitions and modifications. We want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the hour you choose to be with us.
Our Yogalife flow class includes energizing and invigorating postures to build overall strength and increase flexibility. This moderately paced class links breath to movement and is filled with creative sequencing leaving you feeling strong and centered. Yogalife Flow may include arm balances, backbends and wall assisted inversions. However, modifications and options are given to make the class accessible to most active beginners.
